Branding Myself

The work behind my own brand.

Along with vintage design, I have a love of the movies and movie theatres, which led me on a brainstorm to create a personal logo with the feel of a vintage paper ticket.

Soft, worn blues for the color palette and geometric type bring in the vintage feel, while my hand drawn signature serves as my own personal “sign off” on my work.

Logos ranging from the informative, full version of the logo primarily created for my resume, to the teeny tiny favicon for this site, meant planning out which elements were most important for each application.

Creating a basic version for letters and documents without the ticket shape kept my name and qualifications front and center, without detracting from the content on the page or site.

Knowing I wanted a designed suite of items like cover letters, reference sheets, and a resume, I worked on utilizing simple grids with clean typography to keep content in the spotlight.

As a bonus, using gridded layouts brought more of the vintage menu feel I wanted for the more informative items.
